GF APPLE CARAMEL CRISP

GF APPLE CARAMEL CRISP

 

 

Ingredients:

6 -8 Apples peeled, cored and sliced

1 tsp lemon juice

1 cup caramel dip

2 tsp apple pie spice

¼ cup apple butter

¼ cup packed brown sugar

Topping:

1 cup GF oats (I used Jules Gluten Free Flour oats)

½ cup GF flour

1 pinch of salt

1 stick of butter

2 tsp vanilla

2 tsp apple spice

1/3 cup brown sugar

Instructions: Once you peel, core and slice your apples lay them into your greased pan of choice. I stand mine up so that I can layer the flavors in-between the apples.

 

 

 

 

Once you fill your pan with the apples, sprinkle the lemon juice over the apples to prevent browning. Then sprinkle or mix your apples with the spice, brown sugar, and caramel. I did nothing fancy just evenly plopped it all onto the apples so they were covered.

Mix the topping ingredients together. Mixture will be crumbly. Cover all the apples with the oats mixture. Place pan in the oven for about 45 minutes at 350*. Let cool a bit and serve with either powdered sugar, ice-cream whip cream or whatever your heart desires!
