Back to Basics is what I call it. Get back to clean eating and make yourself healthy! That being said I am a work in process!

I had the opportunity to review this book, "Clean Food Diet" by Jonathan Vine

In the book "Clean Food Diet" you will discover:
What is clean eating is- Simply avoiding all processed foods
What to eat- whole foods, fresh foods, proteins, nuts, hormone free dairy and foods with no additives
How to eat clean- cook from scratch no readymade foods
How to cook clean- don't cook with chemicals and additives, avoid cooking in lots of fats, instead try braising, steaming, stir frying etc.

The author had recipes in these categories, Appetizers, Soups, Salads, Main Dishes, Desserts.
The recipes to me seemed very simplistic, but well written, with only a couple flaws. This book is suited mainly for vegetarians and had a lot of good veggie recipes. Also, he had a lot of dishes with tofu which is not something I enjoy eating so that took out pretty much the entire main dish section for me. And some of the main dishes seemed like appetizers to me. I am a big fan of salads and although there were no complicated salad dishes they all sounded yummy! Surprisingly I think the best recipes were in the appetizer section. In my opinion this is a great book for starting to understand this diet and having a few go to recipes.
Overall the book was good, it gave some good information and was an easy read. You can learn about clean eating and the benefits
of it. Some of the perks of clean eating aside from helping to realign your digestive system, it boosts you immune system, helps clear that foggy brain that usually comes from gluten issues, make your skin look better, and your hair shine and virtually stops all those tummy issues.
OK so I confess, I didn't succeed in full clean eating however I do not eat gluten or grains (allergy) and have tried to eat minimal processed foods. I avoid GMOS and will get as clean as I can. Again it is a life changing experiance, so take it one day at a time.
Once you get started and if you stick to it I can say the cravings do go away. I think the preservatives in foods are slowly poisoning us. If you get a chance to get this book while it is still free it is worth a quick read!
